Self-Fly-Hire
If you're a qualified pilot and become a member of SFC, you are eligible to rent our aeroplanes for your own requirements - and you choose if it's for a brief flight in the local area with friends, or touring the continent.
With our history of service excellence, it's no coincidence SFC has become the preferred source of self-fly-hire aircraft at Shoreham. How does it work? We will typically review your licence, logbook and, if your in-command experience is not current, may need to arrange a checkride with one of our flying instructors before you go off on your own. You can then fly the aeroplane within the limits of your licence to almost any destination you choose - domestic or abroad.
Annual membership is only £85 and allows you to fly at reduced rates, without the commitment of a "minimum hour requirement" per annum. As a club member, you can also benefit from SFC's many resources, including equipment loan, as often and as much as you like. Many of our members also decide to cost-share on longer flights in the UK or abroad, or you can simply impress your friends and relatives with a tour of Sussex by air!

Alternatively, call SFC on (01273) 440852, quoting self-fly-hire, to discuss your requirements with our Chief Flying Instructor. All of SFC's aircraft can be rented out, licence permitting.
